The fourth nor'easter forecast to hit Long Island in a month is expected to bring up to 13 inches of snow, flooding, strong winds and potential power outages to the region, meteorologists said.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Nassau and westetrn Suffolk counties and a winter storm watch for the East End Wednesday through Thursday mornings A coastal flood statement was issued for parts of LI early Wednesday morning.
“Heavy mixed winter precipitation transitioning to heavy snow is expected,” Upton-based NWS forecasters said in a statement “Total snow accumulations of 7 to 10 inches, with localized amounts up to 13 inches, and light ice accumulations are expected.”
