BAY SHORE, NY - A Brentwood man was charged with DWI after a crash that injured a woman on Sunrise Highway early Thursday morning, according to Suffolk Police.

David Siguenza-Guerra, 26, was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi east between exits 41 and 43 in Bay Shore when his car spun sideways and came to a stop across the roadway at about 2:50 a.m., police said.

The Mitsubishi was blocking the center lane when it was struck by an eastbound 1999 Saturn driven by Patricia Pless, 29, of Coram, police said.

Pless was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Siguenza-Guerra was arrested and charged with DWI. He was not injured.
